On October 19, 2025, we received an email stating, “We will blow up the Morohashi Museum of Modern Art on Monday, October 20.” In response, the entire museum will be temporarily closed as follows.

Based on the content of the email, we notified the Inawashiro Police Station and conducted safety checks inside and outside the museum. At this time, no suspicious objects have been found. We will continue to work closely with the police to conduct thorough safety checks, including heightened vigilance and patrols inside and outside the museum, until the day of the alleged bombing.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to visitors who had planned to visit us on short notice. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Information regarding the reopening after October 21 will be announced at a later date.
